Warranty Policy
Warranty coverage varies by product. Certain products manufactured by Winged Solar carry a Winged Solar product warranty, while third-party components are generally covered by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty.
Winged Solar Solar Structures
Winged Solar solar structures are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for ten (10) years under normal use and operating conditions, unless different warranty terms are stated for a particular product.
Installation and Labor
Where installation or other field services are expressly provided by Winged Solar or an affiliated contracting entity, those services are warranted to be performed in a commercially reasonable and workmanlike manner.
Unless a separate agreement states otherwise, the labor warranty is two (2) years from completion of the applicable services, and the remedy is limited to correction of defective labor.
Third-Party Equipment
Solar modules, inverters, batteries, microinverters, optimizers, electrical equipment and other products manufactured by third parties are subject to the warranties offered by their respective manufacturers unless Winged Solar expressly provides a separate written warranty.
Winged Solar does not independently warrant the performance or energy output of third-party solar modules.
Warranty Exclusions
Unless otherwise stated in the applicable written warranty, coverage does not extend to damage or failure resulting from:
- Misuse, abuse, neglect, vandalism, accident, or improper operation
- Unauthorized modification, alteration, repair, relocation, or disassembly
- Installation or service not performed in accordance with applicable instructions or requirements
- Improper electrical interconnection or use with incompatible equipment
- Failure to reasonably maintain the product
- External electrical conditions, utility events, or equipment not supplied by Winged Solar
- Fire, flood, earthquake, wind, severe weather, acts of God, or other circumstances outside Winged Solar’s reasonable control
- Normal cosmetic wear that does not materially affect operation or structural integrity
Making a Warranty Claim
To submit a warranty claim, contact Winged Solar and provide the order number or other proof of purchase, product identification or serial number where applicable, description of the claimed defect, and photographs or other information reasonably requested to evaluate the claim.
Winged Solar may inspect or troubleshoot the product before approving warranty service. If the claim is covered, Winged Solar will determine the appropriate remedy consistent with the applicable warranty.
Other Warranties
Except for warranties expressly provided by Winged Solar and to the extent permitted by applicable law, other warranties are subject to the terms and limitations applicable to the particular product or manufacturer.
